I just went to Belle Tire and got a radiator drain and fill. The next day, when I came out from school I saw a puddle of antifreeze running from beneath my car!!!! eek!

I then took it to Belle Tire and the guys there said that it was just left over coolant in somewhere...ANYWAY...I left thinking it was cool. THEN tonight I'm driving and the LOW COOLANT light pops up. I go home and check and the coolant resaviour is EMPTY! eek! I'm gonna take it back to Belle Tire and they are gonna fix whatever they did!!! tool

I watch out at all these places... sersiously...

In my record, chains are less hesitant to screw you than independent places are...but there are exceptions, I'm sure.

I got front 2 tires replaced by Discount Tire Company... they cut the valve stems at different lengths on each side, one is tucked in between the basket weaves (like I'd like) and the other portudes about an inch. Bastards are lucky I live 3 states away now or else I wouldn't have uneven valve stems any more... and if I did my talking right someone there wouldn't have a job anymore. tool

They didn't "cut" the valve stems, they just installed two stems with different lengths. The tire will have to be removed from the wheel to replace the valve stem as they are pulled through the wheel from the inside. Since you had this done at a national chain, any Discount Tire should correct this condition for you.

i went back AGAIN today, and MADE them check it out. They took about 2 hours and then came out and said that they forgot to hit a switch on the radiator or whatever....I'm still mad as ****. I had to go up there 2 times after I already paid for the service...

 Had to go BACK, b/c once again I had a garage fulla antifreeze. I had to go back to Belle Tire for the 3rd time after I had the service done. They say that there is a switch in the resevior tank that is broken and causes something in the radiator to open and dump the antifreeze out. I went back because my low coolant light was on and my coolant resevior tank was EMTPY! this is pretty serious seeing that it is sub 30 degrees outside almost constantly. They wont fix it bacause they said that the problem was caused by wear and tear not their neglegence. They constantly brought up the fact that my car had 168k on the clock, to me this was totally irrelevant. I just felt that I had work dont to my cooling system and the NEXT day all of my antifreeze was in my schools parking lot. I can see if I had work done to my brakes or something, then it wouldnt make sense to blame them. However, the fact that I NEVER had leaking coolant and NEVER had the low coolant light light up on my dash previous to this tells me that they did something wrong. They say that a "switch" in the tank is broken, what switch are they referring to? I disconnected the sensor on the top of the tank just in-case. B/c I dont want to wake up tomorrow and have my car w/ no antifreeze and it's 13 degrees outside. What swtich are they referring to? and how much does it cost to get replaced?

Uhh, they're yanking your chain. The only switch in the expansion tank is the low level indicator. I'd take the car somewhere else, and call it a learning experience. Before you drop any more money at a shop, check for obvious solutions. Any loose hose clamps? Did they forget to tighten the petcock? Do some homework and try to at least find out exactly where the coolant is leaking from.

Only one reason fluid would leak out: a breach in the system somewhere.

1: Tighten the stopcock all the way.
(its on the back of the radiator on the driver's side)
2: make sure all the hose clamps are tight. Having replaced my radiator 2 months ago, I still was getting a drip from the connections here and there.
3: Radiator cap is tight.
4: Hose to overflow jug is fastened to the radiator near the cap.

5: Last, but not least, and hopefully not the case: is the radiator actually leaking? I flushed and filled my radiator only to find that I must have dislodged something and my side tank started leaking at the same spot all of our radiators will start to leak: drivers side bottom where the plastic meets the aluminum. Now that is a 138 dollar fix for an atx from www.radiator.com
