Greetings.

I have a 15 SHO w/PP (ngk 1 step colder plugs, 170f tstat, 3bar map, bcb tune). This problem occured before the "stage 1" installation. In reverse, i notice a very loud click that is fairly deep in pitch. It happens inconsistently, and it will happen even with very light throttle. It ususally happens when I stop the vehicle and reverse (backing into a parking space, for example). The vehicle drives normally and does not feel as though it could fail catastrophically. I brought this issue to the dealer last year and complained multiple times but they did not diagnose anything. I am concerned that this could be a PTU, CV or driveshaft issue. I'm not here to find out how I can screw a dealership out of charging me for parts or service, I am here to try and solve this very annoying and possibly very problematic functional issue.

Thank you

My 2015 w/ PP has done this since new. Dealer (months ago ) said normal noise associated with drive train engagement.

No problems, just over 27k.

I just can't come to terms with that. It didn't do that when I bought it at 55 miles. I'm not drag racing in reverse, but it echoes off the buildings louder than my radio and makes me turn my head. I can understand little engagement clicks, but this sounds like a metal ****** snapping in half lol. Do I sound picky? I mean, I've driven several automatics and none of them do anything remotely close to this besides normal engagement noise. I shift to reverse, wait for it to engage, and then start backing up only to hear this absurd noise under minimal torque application lol... I will attempt to document the noise while I'm out this evening.

Ok. That is not what mine does. I get a clicking noise in the cabin upon initial reverse engagement. Not remotely as ypu describe, plus not when the car is moving.

My 2014 has been doing this from day 1. This is the TSB I've been searching for. Thank you!
