My rack on my '89 was leaking like a pig, so I picked up an A1 Cardone replacement for it. Right away I noticed that the feel was not as firm as it used to be and when tearing around cloverleafs onto the interstate, the assist is so excessive that it's not even fun anymore. The steering wheel almost wants to turn in by itself it is so loose!
I know the problem is the Cardone rack. I still have the core, and was wondering if anyone knew where I could get that one rebuilt. Something must be valved different in the Cardone one, and I don't want to put another, and another, and another in until I find one that works.
