Ok, this car is a pain. The car lost all of it's coolant, and it is confined to the driver side, right over the transaxle. Right now we have the intake off, and all of the heater hoses(as far as we know) off. Also the upper radiator hose is fine. We cannoot find a blown out line. Also we have checked the metal lines, and they are not leaking either. It lost all of its coolant in about 30 seconds, so I would think im looking for a rather large tear. Are there any hidden hoses that carry coolant somewhere that we are missing? Thanks for any help, Will

Given the sticky nature of antifreeze, I'd expect the leak to be visible. To lose all of the coolant in 30 seconds requires a huge leak or a missing hose. If you can't find the leak, fill it back up and start the car again. Watch for the drips.

look down where the Transmission dip stick is.
There is a small diameter coolant hose that is connected to a rigid pipe. I had a mysterious leak and found it after the car was warmed up.
If that's the culprit just buy yourself two hose clamps and hack saw the crimped metal piece and replace the hose. It will probably take about 1 hour to pull that part and 2 hours to put it back on. wink
