loose rod shifter

i have solid engine mounts, new front boss brace bushings. its tight to the frame but it clunks. do i need a new replacement ball inside the black box? what else could it be?

Pull the entire shift linkage out of the car so you can inspect it.
If there is play inside the "black box", you can get a replacement from: www.shonutperformance.com

If the play is at the clevis, you can contact jose (the inventor of the SHOrt shifter) on the forum. He has a kit to fix the problem. with a little rigging, you can also fix it yourself with a couple of washers, bushings, and a bolt/nut.

i think it is just from the exhaust rubbing, i'll inspect soon , more important issues right now
