What do you think a 03 mustang cobra spoiler would look like on a generation 11 sho?

i dont intend on doing any snow-plowing this winter with my taurus.. so i think any body kits other than the ones we already have are rediculous.. and if your only intent is to turn heads with your car.. you probably shouldn't have bought a taurus then..

i dun see what everybody has against rice and what not i mean its like use bashing on ppl who like muscle cars ppl need an open mind about what looks good and what not
I suppose a definition of rice is in order. All things being equal, any cosmetic mod has rice potential.

I suppose it's the association I have with the kind of people that are into the ricer image. Honestly, a slammed Honda civic with 17"s looks killer.

9 times out of 10, the owner of said rice is almost always a king-sized ****.

That is the association with modified cars that I would like to steer clear of. I sold my mustang race car because of this.

if you guys are truly interested in getting a body kit made it will cost you $805. This company
http://www.showcarbiz.com/general/custom.shtml makes them. I was really interested in this before I started doing major mods to my SHO, I was thinking about just seeing how much for a front wing/body kit (since the SHO already really has ground effects). The only catch is you need 10 poeple to get that price.

10 people isn't that many if you can get them all to agree with the same kit. But ,for the most part, I would love to see some Gen 2's that the ricer guys drool over.....no offence guys.

Truer words have never been spoken, my friend! thumbs_u . However, in the defence of bodykits, front spoilers can be designed with functionality in mind--directing airflow to the front brakes as well as increasing downforce (c'mon...this is straight from the Gran Turisimo instruction manual :p ). In a turbo'ed car, it's also a necissity to make sure air is getting into that intercooler, assuming it's front/side mounted. I was playing around with photoshop the other day and came up with this:

http://members7.clubphoto.com/dan511389/1023176/owner-b7cb.phtml (since it doesn't seem to want to host)
(sorry if that image doesn't get hosted...I'm trying a new server)
IMHO, it looks sharp...even unpainted

Sorry, but the headlights are fake also. I hope to have some similar on my gen 1 soon, and I think Herman is almost done with is projector headlights on his gen 2. His actually look quite similar to the photoshopped ones.

I disagree, I like the way the SHO looks. Execpt I do think that there is room for improvement, or self expresion. I'd like to modify a Saleen front to it and change to HID lights, but it will have to wait.

If you don't like body kits, or your car to look differnt that's fine for YOU. Different strokes for different folks.

I think a body kit would be nice on an SHO, as long as you have performance to back it up. All these so called rice Honda's aren't always rice. If that Honda can smoke your SHO in the 1/4, is it still rice? What about those Civic's and Integra's with the giant aluminum wings, and flamboyant body kits, are they rice? Are they still rice if they have a 12 psi turbo under the hood, and a 2 foot front mount intercooler you could only dream of having on your SHO?

I for one would buy a bodykit for my car if it was done tastefully, and on a more subtle level. I'd like to have a car that when I drive by people they can't tell if the car has been modifief or not. But it sure as **** leaves them wondering.

I'm not saying that I wish we had 25 different kits to choose from. A couple (2-3) tastefully done would be nice to have. I would put one of these on my car, because I'm not afraid to different. I know what I like, and I don't mod my car to make other people impressed. I do it for me, and my taste. If you don't like what I do, don't knock it. And plus, I know my car has the performance to back up it's looks- whatever they may be.

I've heard that there is a body kit for the 1993 accord that fits the gen II SHO, just needs some fiberglass work to smoothly meet the grill piece between the headlights. Has anyone else heard anything about this? and as far as the photoshop pic with the audi body kit, I'd love to see someone actually graft that kit onto their SHO. Someone out there has got to have the means to do it, I would but hey, I work at a hardware store.

The SHO bumpers are already pretty low IMHO, with my drop the front lip is only about 2-3" from the ground I dont think I need to push my luck with a body kit.

Edit: Trust me you dont want fiberglass anywhere flexing will occur, it'll crack way to easily just not enuff flex like more expensive and "better" urethane.

All I would ever want to do with my front bumper is completly shave the ford emblem and hole, smooth it over with a "SHO" imprint/design but that wont happen anytime soon  .

There will always be 2 different types of people that own SHOs, ones that want to attract attention and those who don't. I, for one, am one of the people who want to retain the "sleeper" image the SHO was intended to be in the first place. But people (like their SHOs) are different. No cowl hoods, stickers, indiglo gauges, etc. are ever going to find their way onto my cars, nor will I push those type of parts. I don't want the attention that badly. The looks on others faces of passing a $30K+ sports car in a Taurus is something that never gets old.
