Locking door problem?

I don't know how long it's been but I just noticed tonight that my passenger side door will not lock I can try to push the lock down hard as I can but will not budge anybody have a fix or idea of how to fix this what it cost Etc?

Only way to diag that is to take the door panel off...

Good news is you don’t need the door panel to drive or shut the door ;-)

If the door lock mechanism is behind an interior panel like it is on the Edge, you will want to keep some drillout/tap tools handy, along with replacement bolts, which would be best placed in NEW holes drilled into the panel/door close to the existing ones, prior to taking the interior panel off. Helps align the interior panel correctly when finishing the job.

I will be taking the panel off today try to see if I can disconnect it and make it manual for the time being. if it's the actuator then that's $100 easy for a new part
