Lifetime Fuel Filter?

Hard to believe that the fuel filter is now a lifetime unit??

No way to change it except with a fuel pump replacement?

Anybody change one yet?

I have changed the fuel pump on mine... Super easy! The biggest PIA is getting the locking ring off... There is a tool that makes it easier but it's an expensive tool just to use once.

You can get access to the fuel pump by removing the lower part of the rear seat. The pump is on the passenger side.

Lofetime = screen instead of a filter. We all know fuel is high quality at every pump across the US all the time.

With the advent of plastic fuel tanks and with fuel dispensers having a last chance oil filter style spin on filter, there's really not much to worry about these days. If you live in dusty areas, I could see the need to occasionally wipe down the capless fill opening.

The flap on the capless fill opening is a known problem (at least on Fords, maybe on other makes also). It's not a cleanroom environment and hence dirt/grime WILL buildup over time. So it would be a good idea to periodically (if not at every fill) insert the funnel and twist it back and forth in the opening a few times to keep the seal clean and clear.
