Stupid Question

Darreli;

What does that cost to lower it ? And what is involved?.

Also does it affect alignment, handling or does anything else have to change.

As I do like the look and am wondering who I would even contact to have that done

Anytime you lower a car you should get it realigned. No if's ands or buts, you changed geometry of the car,

even if it seems like it rides ok, get it done

2010sho, well the springs are H&R. You can get them thru tire rack. As far as the actual install, depends on how mechanically inclined you are. I changed out the suspension in my Lightning as many times as Tim Skelton so I has that down pretty good. This one was a little more involved. I would think you could find a shop around you that would do it. I think labor goes for about 80/hr and it's like a 5 hour job. Either way you definately need an alignment afterward. It was 140 for a four wheel alignment at Belle Tire. Definately wasn't a stupid question, that's what these forums are for!

If you want to tackle it yourself you can get a service manual from motorcraft.com. It'S worth it's weight in gold!

Simple springs in the rear like on a Mustang and the front is similar to any FWD style car. Gotta have a spring compressor and that's the real only odd ball tool of the bunch. And 5 hours is going turtle speed I'm pretty sure. I could knock out a Gen 1/2/3 on all four for less time than that. Like Darreli said, once you start taking suspension apart on other vehicles, they aren't too difficult. And I'm with you on the L's suspension bro. ;)

Springs aren't that hard.. Best way to do it is put your head down and bust your hands up and get it over with :)

Once you do one you will know all the tricks to make the other 3 faster ;)

i am very happy with MD in Cincinnati, if I was a MI resident, Livernois would be where I would go for a dyno tune. They have a great facility and they are good peeps.

And if I lived near Cinci I'd go to Modular Depot! :) yeah the guys at Livernois are great. They don't have an awd dyno though

All the tuning was done on the road. Hoping to make it down to Florida next weekend to give it a true test

Neither does MD, street tuning is the best anyway! :)

With the AWD it makes it nice on these because you can actually hook up most of the time to get a good tune.
