laptop mount, keep or toss

well, my brother won a gamber-johnson police style laptop mount for a car on ebay. he wanted to be totaly moblie and stuff. after he gave up,he gave it to me. i got it installed in the SHO ok, but the wife thinks i should take it out. i think it's alright, but what do you fellers think. any ideas??
