What model was that GP?

Standard '06 GP with n/a 3.8. It was my Dad's car, now my wife's. Has 14.5K miles.

It feels strong on the street, almost GTP-quick. BUT.....that's the usual GM torque up until 4500 rpm or so.....then falls on it's sword. I ran it full-weight, full tank of gas, all the crap in it, etc, and it was a 16.01 @ 85 best.

Went through the traps in 2nd gear. Some high gearing on that sucker!

On a non-SHO note.....

My Focus SVT has 101K miles, is absolutely stock, and has the original clutch. 5-door hatch with moonroof (probably the heaviest model).

Traction Control has on Off button, but it stays on under 20 mph. Last week, in fighting that, I had a best of 15.89 @ 88.88, and the best 60' all day was a 2.363.

I found out the fuse to pull to disable the Traction Control/ABS totally for this week. This week, the clutch started going away. On the launches, I couldn't tell whether I was spinning tires or the clutch was slipping (clutch smell after every run). Ryan Dudek drove it home, and said he got slippage in 6th going up a light hill. Clutch Time!!

Anyway, yesterday's best was a 15.55 @ 89.22. Best trap of the day was a 89.85, but the best 60' was STILL only a 2.308 (on the 15.55 run).

I really suspect that with a fresh clutch, it would be good for 15.3-15.4 at over 90. If you look back at tests of the car "in the day", that's damn good! Jarod Adams (ex SHO guy...with an SVT identical to mine) has a tune and a few other bolt-on mods, and has only run a 15.7 best. He said one of the car mags got a 15.4x once, but I dunno if that was a 3-door non-moonroof car or not.

I see no reason why it couldn't get down to at least a 2.1 60', IMO.

Clutch/quiafe/supercharger time?

Nah, it's staying 100% stock. That's why I spent $$$ to get new original ContiSportContact 2 tires for the stock SVT wheels, plus a spare interior.

Plus, it's mission in life is to deliver 30+ mpg on the highway for work commutes.
