A simple problem, I think. Just something I'm unfamiliar with. When I got my 94 ATX, it only came with an ignition key. And, they accidentally locked the trunk by pressing the right spot on the left side of the drivers seat where you would stick the key if you had one.
So, anytime I want in, I have to use the keyless entry pad on my drivers door.
Then, I yank on the little string to open the gas door.
I have the keyless remote, and replaced the batteries but it doesn't work. Anyone have any economically sound suggestions? A locksmith would cost me 35 bucks to get a key made for the trunk.
Would the key to my trunk (if I have one made)work in the lock that is on my driver side left?
Where is the sensor that my keyless remote is supposed to signal to? Do I buy a new remote and then have it programmed somehow? Anyone have any tests that I can do?
Thanks,
John
