I was sitting under a tree at lunch and when I went to go back the key just broke off in my hand. The piece is still in there. I can turn the car on and off, but can't lock the doors b/c I now have a half key.
What is the easiest way to get to piece out? Take it all apart or what?
Any help would be appreciated.
TIA

Wish I could start mine w/out a key...can't tho, the outter part with the tabs spins around and around on mine.:doh:If you turn the ignition to "on" then take your coulumn housing off, and poke a tiny screwdriver into the little hole from the bottom, you can pull the whole lock assembly out and get one from the JY. But you still can't look your doors unless you get the door locks off the same car...do you have the keyless pad?

Leave it. Hey, I can start mine with or without a key now. Very handy.
But if you lock the car, you will need to carry a key to get inside the car anyway. Unless you have a keyless entry..

No keyless entry. And my tab just spins also. I'm using a screwdriver at the moment.
