Forgive me if there's a thread on this already. I'm at work trying to use the search function on my phone and its fighting me damn it!

2 different key issues maybe related...

Key #1 is recognized by the car and allows me to start it. Problem is as of yesterday the lock/unlock/trunk functions won't work on the key. Worked fine when I left work Tuesday AM, 15 mins later when I got home none of the buttons work!?! Smdh

Key #2 is not recognized by the car so I replaced the battery. The lock/unlock/trunk functions all work on the key but its still not recognized by the car. "No key detected" when I try to start it

Damn electronics!

That's very odd. To start narrowing down possible causes, have you tried inserting the "No key detected" key in the little receptacle in the center console storage bin to see if the car can then detect it? This is the area to owner's manual says to use in the event of a dead battery in the fob.

Next, on the key that will start the car but the buttons don't work, have you tried any of the proximity features to see if they work? I wouldn't suggest trying to lock your fob in the trunk, but instead try sliding your finger on the door keypad to see if the doors unlock and try pressing the trunk release button above the rear license plate to see if the trunk unlocks. If those work with the fob in your pocket you can be pretty comfortable the battery in that fob is okay.

You might stop by your local chain auto parts store. Many of them now seem to have the fob testers that will tell you if the fob is transmitting RF when buttons are pressed. You could take the fob with the buttons that don't work there and see if it is transmitting RF.

I ran into a similar issue with the key fob for my SHO. The SecuriLock Passive Anti-Theft System section of the owner's manual will tell you how to reprogram the integrated keyhead transmitter (IKT) & Intelligent Access Key.

I have tried the proximity features on the key that the buttons don't work and they all work which makes it even stranger. I'll have to look into having the fobs tested. Thanks
