Here are directions to the meet site, on the south end of the Kettle Moraine Forest near Whitewater, WI

From the North-
1. Take I-43 South toward Janesville.
2. Exit WIS 20/North St in East Troy
3. Follow WIS 20 West toward Main St.
4. Take Main St. southwest to the SHELL station.

From the South-
1. Take I-43 North toward Milwaukee
2. Exit at WIS 20/North St. in East Troy
3. Follow WIS 20 West toward Main St.
4. Take Main St. southwest to the SHELL station.

The address is 2526 Main St, East Troy, WI 53120.

From there, I can be the lead car. I will hand out a list of crossroads from the DNR site for your own use if you like. It's not a map; just lists all the crossroads and state trails that cross the route. I'd recommend looking at a map or bringing one with in case you lose the rest of the cars. I'll give you my cell# when we meet at the gas station as well.

Again, this will be Sunday, August 20th at 12 Noon.

Attendees so far are myself, Kris (Kickinsho), Bluestreak, and dantheman68.

I voted for the 6th, starting in walworth county. I think it would be neat to see an SHO convoy:)

Ok - back from the Honeymoon. Thanks for getting this poll going.
I voted for the 19th starting in the south with dinner at the end and starting time between noo and one. Best option I have right now.

Congrats Jen, on the new job and the pick-up/removal of the '92.

I myself like Saturdays to do stuff like this so I can get back in shape for work on Monday. Although it does seem like something like this would work out good on a Sunday.

Hey you guys: Direction! n-s or s-n

http://www.dnr.state.wi.us/org/land/parks/specific/kmscenicdrive/ScenicDriveDirections.pdf

Kettle Moraine Scenic Drive

Visitors can enjoy the beauty, variety and geology of the Kettle Moraine State Forest in southeast Wisconsin by driving the Kettle Moraine Scenic Drive. The 115-mile drive traverses six Wisconsin counties. Its northern end is near Elkhart Lake in northern Sheboygan County and its southern end is at Whitewater Lake in southeastern Walworth County. There are numerous places to picnic, hike, camp, bike, swim, fish, visit historical sites, shop and find lodging along the way. Explore and enjoy the forest!
Directions

A handout with driving directions, for the scenic drive is available also at all Kettle Moraine State Forest offices. The handout provides road names and distances between major crossroads, cities/towns/villages, developed recreational areas, and historical landmarks on or near the scenic drive.

Well, the date most people picked was 19 August, so we can go with that. I, however, will not be able to make that. I can't do the 6th anymore, either.

When I made the poll, I threw Saturday on there to guage interest. The 20th would probably work best for me at this point, but I don't want to just arbitrarily set a date.

Also, FWIW, there is an EXCELLENT place to eat at in West Bend, and I believe it is even on the scenic route. If not, it isn't very far off the drive route anyway. I highly recommend we stop to eat there :)

Count me out too then if you guys are going on the 19th.

Other then that other people were asking about the date on the TCCA forum. I need a date that is set in stone so I can post the date on the other forum.

If no one can go on the 19th, then why is it winning? i voted for it, only because i didnt want one in early august... Personally the 12th sounds great being a mid-month saturday and all, but thats not an option

EDIT: Since most people now have their schedules and what-not maybe we should make a new poll with dates closer to mid-august, because the old poll was a little helter-skelter throughout the month and was hit or miss for the dates... just an idea
