POST INCLUDES UPDATED INFO BELOW!!

Finalized Itinerary For The Meet:

Meet at Grandad Bluff Park at 9:00AM for car show/meet and greet with WISHOC and MNSHOC members. You are encouraged to bring beverages and anything else you'd like (especially cameras). The park itself sits atop a 600' bluff overlooking the City of La Crosse. There is no physical address for the park, apparently.

After the show, we will attend a brewery tour at La Crosse's City Brewery (link here ), which will take about an hour. Those who are not 21 may not consume any alcoholic beverages.

After a group cruise up the Great River Road, which runs along the Mississippi River, the group will attend a museum tour at Elmer's Auto & Toy Museum, with a collection of over one hundred vintage, muscle, and special cars, as well as motorcycles and various toys.

Finally, the group will travel back to La Crosse for dinner at T.G.I. Friday's.

Additionally, anyone who wants to stay in LAX overnight, I will be there and will plan a group drive or something the next day (Sunday) depending on interest. If anything, we can just hang out at a hotel and have a 12 pack or hit up a bar (or bars  ) in La Crosse.

All in all, this should be a great event, and I'm hoping for a sizeable turnout. Also, if this event goes well, it will set the stage for many bigger and better things down the road :thumb:

Here is my altered google map showing the park and the brewery:

Let's face it, nobody will be happy if they drive from Milwaukee to La Crosse to see 3 people turn out.

Like last time we drove way up north! :nut:

I have no problem driving to La Crosse if we get a good enough SHOwing...

How big is the Minnesota club?

No go for us as October 14th & 15th is the Midwest F body Association track days at Road America. I am hoping like **** to get in on that. If I cannot run my car in it, I will for sure be there to cheer on a few of the members like Dave (FreakSHO), Kirk Doucette and a few others.

Sorry, sounds like it would be good though. Can I ask why a little later in October might not work??

I have no issues with holding it the next weekend, or even the weekend before. Supposedly, the middle week in October is the best for fall colors in that area, but I just counted that as a side perk.

Basically, I just picked a date because it is impossible to hold a vote and please everyone. I figured, being so far in advance, people who were willing to go would be able to take off work or make arrangements to be there. :)

Once Tonya and I get settled in the new house, You let us know what we can help with to make that happen.:)

Kris, on a side note, do you know if Kirk recieved the info I passed along to him concerning the RA event? I have not heard otherwise.

Well pick a date becasue I have to take off work and so does Chris.

I will be keeping the October 14th date. I toyed with the idea of changing it to accomodate the RA crowd, but I decided it would be better to keep the original date since quite a few people have already told me they committed to the date.

I'm shooting for roughly a 10 or 11AM start time. Based on the activities I'm planning, the day would be something like this:

10 (or 11) - 12:30 - Meet-N-Greet/car show
1:00 - Brewery tour
2:30 - Group drive to Elmer's Auto Museum along Great River Road
4:30 - Drive back to La Crosse and Granddad's Bluff, overlooking the city (group photo)
6:30 - Dinner

Keep in mind this is just a very rough estimate of the times we'd be doing these activities.

Also, if we end up with more than 20 people committed to attending, I will have to start making reservations for some of these things, so please, if you say you will attend, please stick to your word.

I am not sure of the size of the club for MN. I have few SHO in my town, but not sure if they frequent this site.

Jason how is the SRT runnng

Dave, if you could make the event in La Crosse it would be awesome, would your wife be coming also? If, so I am sure Lydia will be with me since she is from Sparta, unless she is working.
