Thanks everyone. The car will hopefully be going in for some body work this month to fix the rear quarters and front bumper. Theres a nasty repair on the drivers side, some minor rust on the passenger side and the paint on the bumper is peeling off. Once thats done it should look pretty sweet. I spent all of yesterday and today doing valve cover gaskets, plugs and wires. I got motorcraft platinum plugs and Taylor 8.2mm wires. Plus a new K&N air Filter. What a difference. The car really pulls now and it just seems to run better in general. I also painted the intake black and left the runners silver. Ill post some pics up tomorrow. Also are there any local meets? Id like to see some other SHO's

Were in ri do u live I'm the town next to Cumberland

Nice score. The first pic is in the McDonald's parking lot in Johnston right?

I'm on the Providence - Johnston line. No SHO here but had one long enough to know what makes them tick. Feel fee to question me about anything. You can also catch me hanging out in Cranston @ Dunkin Donuts by Park and Res. on Saturday nights.

(wow - talking about the word "tick" / anyone remember who that was?) ahem - randy. LOL

I have a random check engine light comes on when it feels like it lol. I think I might have a bad dis module and I just want to go through it and make sure nothing is in need of repair

Did you run the codes? DIS modules rarely go bad, but when they do, it's not intermittent. Make sure you have all four screws in it, and that you have heatsink paste on the back of it and you should be good.

Aside from setting a CEL, how does the car run?

I'm down in Westerly, and usually up at NESHO in Spencer, MA on some nights and weekends.

Ricky, is Joey still hanging out with you at that Dunkin?

I've had intermittent problems due to bad DIS modules on both of my SHO's. They'd randomly (or so it seemed) drop a cylinder and run like a turd. Sometimes they'd "fix" themselves while driving, sometimes they would be OK after turning the ignition off and restarting, and sometimes it would keep running like that for as long as it damn well pleased. These spells did increase in frequency though, until it was happening pretty much all the time.

The first time it was a Motorcraft part, possibly original. The second one didn't say "Motorcraft" or "DIS" on it, so I'm guessing it was non-oem. FWIW

I just posted it.

If the weather get better, i'll be out there from 10 to 2am on a given Saturday night. Back in the day when there was a Mustang Crew, I was out there every night. I think old age is effecting everyone's ability to still do that. LOL :nut:
