Just ordered gearheads intercooler and tune package and was wondering if there are any "nice to do's" while the front bumper is off. Any cleaning, maintenance, check for things kind of deal?

I would clean and inspect the radiator and condensor. Check all cold side piping and couplers. Depending on mileage this a good time to replace the T - Stat because you are changing the coolant. Look for other leaks ect....

Take your oil dipstick out and cover the hole with tape. I broke mine off and had to go fishing.

Hopefully going to get everything installed this weekend.

When programming the tune to the car, when it says key on, do you press the start button once or twice? The SCT manual says to hold the button for 2-3 seconds, but that's no different than pressing it once. Hopefully I'll have some before and after pulls on video to post soon!

I hit the button twice to turn the car to ON instead of ACC mode.

the 2-3 seconds is for the 10-12 cars, sometimes they require you to hold the button to go into accessory mode.

Everything installed this morning, initial impressions on power pretty great. Hitting 18-19 psi in boost compared to the 11 psi of stock. It really wants to go now!

The shifting however is a little harsher than I was expecting. Didn't have extensive time driving today, but WOT pulls from 1-2 and 2-3 are a bit stiff to the point it almost concerns me. Is this normal? Does it smooth out over time?

It will. The adaptive learning takes some time.

I will say that the shifts have smoothed out to my relief. What I noticed that I don't like is when cruising on the highway, it is trigger happy to go from 6th to 5th as soon as speed get to around 55mph and that is a bit jarring.
