Just bought 2011 Show need advice

This SHO is my wifes car, I'm looking to add some extra hp to the car while not making it race car. I have been looking at the tune kits from Livernois and Unleashed (from torrie) which one would be best?

I also was wondering if the thermostat and downpipe added enough hp to justify the cost? I'm looking to just wake the SHO up a little more it does have plenty of hp stock however if I can spend a little money to get some extra out of the motor safely I would love to do so!

So in a nutshell I'm looking for advice on what to buy with potential hp numbers.

BTW I never really looked at the Taurus until I seen this one I really love the car its comfortable and the adaptive cruise control is amazing on the highway!

Can't go wrong with either tuner. They keep improving their tunes as data continues to roll in.

Tune + NEW plugs (sp534 works well) gapped to 0.030 + 3-bar MAP + 170/160 thermostat is a great power package. If you can budget downpipes, that will net you a healthy gain in power and a bit of sound (when you open it up) as well.

Make sure the turbo piping is securely clamped down. Known to come loose sometimes at higher boost pressures.

Depending on how many miles you have on the 2011, you may want to schedule a PTU fluid flush.

Tune/downpipes are the first easy big gains. Thermostat is up to you, no power gain from that but some people like their car running cooler, others say it's hogwash. Next big gainer is meth injection. Intake and exhaust are "nice" but not really required.
Tune/downpipes/meth should easily net you some 12 second passes.

Ok ill jump on the tune first should I get the mycal tuner or the SCT? does it matter? are the maps the same?
