My 90 sho has some unsightly body problems. First of all, the thin black window strips on the doors have rusted (? It's ugly pockets of whitish powder). Is that caused from salt or has anyone seen it before. Also, the car has been in two accidents before I got ahold of it, so some of the gaps between body pieces are out of proportion. I am familiar with most of the procedures for adjusting panels and doors but I was wondering if there are any reference points (ie. marks in the frame) that were used to align everything during assembly, or do you have to just eyeball it? Thanks.

The door moldings are a very common problem. They will do that weather the car is in the salt of not.I`ve noticed that on the Gen I`s,the right fender does not line up with the a-pillar very well.
