heres the story i was looking over my car and noticed some oil dripping off the bottom of the oil pan its not a big amount but i dotn think its normal. i think i might need a gasket but not sure.

could it be some kind of condensation? im only guessing this is because the oil isnt running down from the gasket area its just dripping off the bottom of the oil pan. im prolly over reacting here but can someone clear this up for me. idk if this will help but the car has been sitting for about a month (license is suspended) and its been in the 80s, its prolly just me but just want to make sure. thanks.

heres a pic

Make sure it's oil and not Transmission fluid. I had the saem problem and thought oil. But it was tranny fluid. After year and a half of sitting int eh driveway and me joining the military to pay for the rebuild, the tranny was rebuilt. Whatever you do, don't go on long drives untill you make sure it's really oil. I got stranded an hour from home with a bone dry tranny. And yes, heat will cause a tranny to leak, mine is now, scared me too, but it's normal, i hope.

yeah but if it was any of those wouldnt there be a lot more oil then what there?

i thought it might have beent he oil pan gasket but its not dripping or running down from where it connects to the motor its just on the bottom of the pan as for the rear main seal it can be a possibility. i doubt the trans cause it wasnt trans fluid.
