The Valve Lash adjustment is missing, which keeps it from being a complete 60K. It is better known as the "front side" 60K. The valve cover gaskets, intake manifold gaskets, valve lash adjustment, spark plug tube seals, etc... have not been done.

Like AutoSHO said, that's half the battle. What remains are plugs & wires in addition to the valve lash and gaskets. (already stated)

For the front engine 60K (MTX) or 100K (ATX), the only required services are the timing and accessory belt changes. The normal wear items that are also replaced during this service to save on labor and inconvenience at a later time, are the water pump (usually with a remanufactured unit for about $65 with a lifetime warranty), front main crankshaft oil seal ($8) and the crankshaft position sensor ($43).

The other major portion of the 60K for both the MTX and ATX is the upper engine service that includes the required spark plug replacement ($24, not yet mentioned) and valve gap adjustment (mostly labor, about $4 per new shim). The normal wear items that are also replaced during this service to save on labor and inconvenience at a later time, are the valve cover and plug well seals ($72), spark plug wires ($84) and possibly the intake-to-head gaskets ($24).

Scott, where you get these prices, I only recognize the seals as being close to what I have found.

This whole discussion kinda brings back some bad memories from when getting the ford dealer to do the required service was like pulling teeth. When we hit 60k, I told them to do the 60k service. I think they replaced the sparkplugs. I said "did you replace the timing belt?" "doesn't have one" So I said heck with that and went to another dealer. 20k later, I decided I better get the timing belt done. It was about a thousand. Then within 6 months or less, the water pump died. Another thousand. Then the clutch died again, $1500. Then the car ran like a top for 30k.
I had looked at the shotimes 60k pages, but it just looked like something I might not finish. Now that I finally like the car again I am not afraid to do maintenance on it.
