Well, I'm not waiting for that download. If you over 100,000 rounds the pump is on its last legs.

Holy cow that's a loud pump! Have you checked the pressure at the rail?

With the pump making that much noise, even if the pressure is ok, it can't last much longer. Changing the fuel filter might give it a little more time, but when it starts making that much noise, it's just one of those things that could go for another 1000 miles or go out next time you start the engine.

Obviously the recording was made outside the car, and the exhaust drowns out the pump noise after it starts. I assume you can hear it making the same noise all the time inside the car. If it is not making the noise after start up, you could just have something in the tank causing it to take a few seconds to pick up fuel after you turn on the key.

Either way, unless someone has installed an access door under the rear seat, you will have to drop the tank, so you might as well replace the pump when you do.

dunno if it matter but my fuel gauge is off. It says full and it doesn't drop off of full until around the 1/4 tank mark then it drops steadily. I can used to hear a slight noise inside my car like a huming sound but it would only be for a split second then it would stop. I haven't really noticed it lately but I listen to music so I wouldn't here it unless i turn it off.

edit: I changed the fuel filter last summer so it shouldn't be clogged

And it's always a good idea once in a while in any car, but especially in a SHO, to turn off the music and listen to the car for a bit. Unusual noises can tell you a lot, and save you a lot of time and money if you diagnose and fix them before they get too bad.
