how do you get the IPC out of these? Im used to GMs. In the haynes manual it says you have to take the radio out. To get the radio out do you have to take off the bezel piece around it? The haynes manual only has it for the taurus' with the column shifter. I just need to change the bulbs

Thanks. BTW I sold my SHO for a GTP and this is for my moms 99 SE :)

You need a set of Ford radio removal tools. Stick them in the holes on either side of the "football", and the unit pulls out.

I know that, I'm trying to use coathangers (lol), it even says in the manual you can use them. I need to know is there anything else holding the radio in, i.e. the bezel piece around the radio.

It seems that the clips are disengaged because i can wobble the radio around, but it won't pull out

I would recommend getting the Ford "radio keys" as well, I have tried coat hangers and mechanics wire in the past and all that ends up happening is the metal tangs that hold the radio in get damaged.

If you dont want to pick up a set, slide the coat hanger in only about an inch and pull outward on both sides, the radio should then slide out but be carefull as always.
