How’s it going everyone, my name is Vincent I’m from Southern California and i own a 2015 Ford Taurus SHO, looking forward to getting to know some of you guys and learning the does and don’t of SHO’s

@studio460 lives in your neck of the woods, havent heard from him recently...
Cool, so Ive had my car for a few years, I hadn’t done any modification cuz i had extended warranty till 120k but I'm about to hit that mark and i was wondering what are some simple moods I can do to free up some horsepower?

Cool, so Ive had my car for a few years, I hadn’t done any modification cuz i had extended warranty till 120k but I'm about to hit that mark and i was wondering what are some simple moods I can do to free up some horsepower?
The basic toolset is get a SCT tuner and a tune from a reputable tuner. Those folks will help optimize the performance - check for issues - and make tweaks as you make modifications.

The first steps - are doing a K&N drop in filter, do not follow my path or others that were thinking a big cone filter will help, they don't usually suck in HOT air from the engine compartment.

Then do plugs, and coils, stock coils are just fine, other swear by other companies, save the money and replace them with performance colder range plugs from my signature.

Start using 93/91 gas - use "Top Tier" gas there is a link to locate them. They use additives all the time and helps your carbon buildup and fuel injectors.

The tuner can supply tunes for different grades of gas - but my suggestion, just use highest octane. Gearhead as an auto octane tune and Matt is a great Ecoboost tuner.

The coup de grâce, 3 bar map also in my signature. SCT tuner - can be bought through your tuner - person of choice - Gearhead, AJP and - plugs and coils, 3 bar map, and K&N drop in filter.

Get yourself a Catch Can - more maintenance - UPR makes a great setup, I have pics here.

Oh yeah a 14/year Forscan - for reading errors and selective programming you might wish to do. MOSTLY for getting to the bottom of issues.

Awesome im gonna look into it and see what my results are. I did the filter and plugs around 80k, but I’ve looking into other stuff, thanks again
