6th motor SHO
For one of my classes i had to write an advocacy letter
(advanced composition)
i wrote to ford basically asking if they were going to bring back the SHO
well, i got a cheap answer :
Dear Mr. Bubolz,
We appreciate the time you have taken to contact Ford Motor Company.
Feedback from our customers is important to us, and helps us to provide higher quality vehicles and improved service to our customers. We recognize that we must meet the needs of the buying public if we are to be successful in today's competitive market.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us.
Then we had to write a thank-you letter. Having been just thinking about my car, I came up with a great idea. I wrote to Yamaha thanking them for making the ever-so-beautiful 3.0L V6 DOHC SHO motor.
The reply:
Dear Mr. Bubolz,
Thank you very much for your heart-touching letter regarding Ford Taurus SHO and our 3.0L DOHC motor. We are all pleased to hear that our 16 years old motor is still working sturdily and taken good care by an owner like you who truly appreciate the virtue of the vehicle and the motor.
Our engineers are proud of our motor and your letter has encouraged them to continuously make the most efficient and robust engine in the world.
Thank you again for your kind letter and our very best wishes for your health, wealth, and happiness.
Now... who makes you want to buy a car?
Not only was i surprised to get a response from either company, but even more so when I saw the time and effort put into the one from Yamaha. Like Dan said, at least they did some research rather than copying and pasting the name in.
Yamaha's guy, Ken Ishibuchi even hand-wrote his signature in purple ink, drawing a cute little smilie after it.
Ford's woman, Colleen Rose Coventry, did not even sign her name. It's a printed copy, with initials versus the entire written name. Boo Ford. Yay Beer!
