I am going to be doing the valve lash in a the up coming week and I just want to know what intake gaskets I should get, I want to clean the intake out good. I am going to be ordering from shonut. I am just a bit confused on what ones I need for sure.
1, V6 Intake Manifold Gaskets (runner to head) (2)
I know I need these. But what other ones are needed?
Do I need the Primary gaskets and the Butterfly gaskets do give it a good cleaning?

ISHODO,

If you are going to clean the intake plenums it helps to remove the "butterflys". If you want to do this, get the gaskets.

There are four gaskets. One goes between the tubes that go into the plenum, and one goes in between the "butterflys and the tubes. There are two sets of "butterflys, soo that adds up to four gaskets.

Do one side at a time so you have a reference if you can't remember how to put it back together. Just a thought. rangerj

PS Molsons forever!

So I am only going to need the runner to head and the butterfly to horns, horns to plenum gaskets? What about the primary to plenum?
Thanks for the help. I should know better but I am a bit unfamiliar with the parts of our intake.

ISHODU,

With me it is a philosophy, if I am going to take it apart, and it has a gasket, replace the gasket. I figure that what I save from doing my own work more than pays for the parts. rangerj
