So upon my discovery I noticed the surge tank holes that feed the air to the cylinders is well... much larger than the runner things.

So I am boring the runner things out. This is a major process and I have a starting photo of the first day work.

I am doing all this by hand with my dremel so it's a process. I'm making each runner thing have a less of an angle by boring out the entire intake assembly.

This is the first day. I haven't taken another photo of today's work but I will on my next time I work.

Keep up the good work. I think you are a more dedicated person than I am. Right now, I just need to get mine back on the road.

Hey everyone it's me :) I am really glad that this mod has sparked some things with everyone :). The cnc machine would be an excellent idea!! My friend Tucker is in college in the machine shop in gillette which has access to one..... a days work may be worth a 234 mile drive.... :)

Now the tank is a complicated thing for me because the flow of the air is baffled by all the dips and rivots that are at each cylinder intake port.

The tank in theory could be a good design but the 90 at the EgR location is terrible for air flow.
So all in all every bit of work on the tank and runner things will provide a better air flow.
If I recall that's a porterized intake. Which is where an abrasive sand is flushed through the intake to Polish it up.

The tune... that is my issue. I'm currently saving to buy a sct tuner from summit racing. They're like 300$ though and I need to make my last 3 payments.
Unless that is somebody lives near cheyenne wyoming that has access to one :)
