I think I have the premium jbl system, I have the 6.5 sub and 2 amps (black and silver) in the back. I want to install a new 4ch pioneer amp to power the rear speakers and some subs. whats the best (easiest) way to do this? Also, I get no sound from the factory sub I tried opening the box but itll only open halfway then shut close.

The box top and bottom are glued together...kinda gotta pull it apart to break the seal.

Do you have an aftermarket head unit? If not, the problem lies in the fact that the wires going to the trunk are low-level inputs. On an aftermarket amp, the low level inputs are RCA connectors and the wire inputs are high-level. You will need to wire in RCA connectors to the factory wires coming back to plug into the amp. Generally, this will cause noise and signal loss when splicing into a low-level signal.

So I hooked up everything and the amp turns on but it barely powers the 2 8's i have. When hooked up to the stock amp (only 1 sub) it gave much more bass. The amp is a Pioneer 600w 4 channel
