Installing cooling fan **PROBLEMS** (now has pics)

Just received my cooling fan shroud assembly from Al Fitz. It won't fit into my 92 for 2 reasons. 1) It has the stubby plug coming out from the rear of the motor while the one off my 92 has 6-8 inches of wire connected to a harness sticking out from the back. My 92's motor has an oval 2 pin harness while the one I received has a square 3 pin harness. 2) The holes for the screws on the shroud itself are about 2 inches off from mine. Do I have a gen I cooling fan shroud?

i dont believe there is any difference between the Gen1 and Gen2 MTX fan shroud assemblies. the fan assembly you described for your car is the same as mine, and mine is a Gen1. but real recently, everyone has made it a point to prove me wrong, so take my info FWIW. sounds like you might have gotten a fan assembly from a Vulcan 3.0 ...

Good suggestion, however this ebay auction displays the same style cooling fan that was sent to me...it's from a 95 SHO.

Nope, not a SHO fan. I have many SHO fans in my garage, GenI and GenII. You pictures don't display, but the one on ebay is no correct.
