Installing Aftermarket Sound System in 1996 SHO ... NEED HELP!!!!

Hey-
First time poster. I just bought a 1996 Ford Taurus SHO. I am trying to install some subs in the trunk to get some better bass. I don't want to use the current sub at all that is in it ... Do you guys have some instructions or guidelines cuz I tapped into the signal feed to the stock sub, but it's not kiccking as it should and it kicked much much louder in my other car. I am using a 10 inch bass link. Also do any of you have a diagram of the wires with what they are for ... like im trying to figure out which one to tap in for the amp shut off ... i was thinking of splicing into the one in the stock amp. help please...thanks!

I'm assuming that you have the JBL Audio system in your SHO, since I think that '96 was the last year for it, and no other systems had subs.

If that's the case, here's a link (from someone else's post) on the wiring diagrams for the JBL sound system.
