IMRC making car tick??

Ok my engine ticks when the IMRC is plugged in but I unplugg it and the ticking goes away? Why? Is it bad or going bad? Where can I get a new one? I am getting also I think a power loss but no codes.

Is the ticking taking place at idle or at a specific RPM or at any speed?

Does the ticking change frequency in relation to the engine speed?

Have you watched the IMRC vacuum motors to see if one of them is "bouncing"?

Have you tried to pinpoint the origin of the ticking noise (Mechanic's Stethoscope)?

at any idleing you can hear it. You it goes faster when you step on the gas. Its coming from the top of the intake. Any idea's?

Fuel injectors seems more likely. A small amount of ticking as the injector solenoids open and close can be considered normal.

Use a stethoscope to pinpoint the source of the sound. Quit guessing.
