Sorry, but I need to post this before SuperHO beats me to it, since the fix was on my car...

We used an IMRC from a Duratec Contour (or a Duratec Sable) onto my SHO (they got mixed up by the time I got home... we got both) The IMRC module itself was the same, with the following changes- the right hand ear to mount it was in the wrong place, and the cable length was different on the Contour (I think it was the Contour- it was much longer)

However, I just used two of the three mounting bolts, zip-tied the cable around itelf once (cause I had to use the longer cabled one since the clip on the secondary end was broken) plugged it in, and voila- secondaries and short-lived-cleanin'-out-smoke! It fits under the cover, too. I'll get a pic tomorrow...

Just passing it along before they show up on eBay... (from me!)

JD

So If y'all have a pick 'n pull around by you, go look for them... I'm gonna go try to see if there are any more over here tomorrow.

Thanx & get a pic up of this module. This is the module that on a SHO, opens the vacume controlled secondaries @3950? Duratec motors have a two stage intake? Since when? So this mounts to the firewall & not on the back of the SHO intake? I have to go look at mine.

You're in the wrong section. This is the V8 section and the V8 secondaries aren't vaccum controlled, their electronically controlled. And the Duratecs had secondaries from '96 till '00 maybe '01 I'm not sure.

Umm, you realize that this was figured out and talked about over on V8SHO.com about 2 or so years ago, right? Sorry to rain on your parade!

Sorry- I ran a search and didn't see anything of the sort over here. ???
Seemed odd to me that nobody posted anything like that here, since they are such an expensive piece to get.

Guess everyone knew but me... Which is nothing new.

The "Flying Couch" reference was to pay hommage to JSIL1 and his sig...!
