I guess it has something to do with large tubing exhaust pipes and relatively small engines (3" on a 3.2L), But I had the horrible 'import buzz' in the mid-range.

you simply can't be taken seriously if you ride makes this sound.

the fix, to get a resonator, but no ordinary resonator will do for my car. I need one that cost alot of money for little return (I have a theme going here).

roughly $94.45 later I have one that's a metallurgical match to the rest of the exhaust system (304) and it welded up. it does sound less high-strung and more deep/mellow. Enjoy!

1.Thats a nice looking exhaust setup, I particularly like the clean bends.
2. What in gods name is that bell thingy shooting out next to your flexpipe.
3. Is your setup catless?

yes, it's as wastegate actuator. thats a chambered MAC flowpath it's OK, it muffles alright, just needs a resonator to go with it. I have the FP744 in stainless

Sure am! Had a 18" res. in place of the stock res. on an SVT Contour exhaust. Sounded nice and deep. Perfect note. They aren't cheap though.

what diameter exhaust is on CSVTs 2.25"? as far as price it's the cheapest stainless one I could find, Summit wants $20 more for their comparable offering.

I'm really surprised how much more quiet the car is now. this resonator is really good, it's just as much muffler as resonator judging by how much it reduces noise. nice, deep tone as well.

I'm going to Autolite track day at NRP next Wednesday (eliminations are open to public :thumb: ) and will try to get some vid from the grandstands.

as soon as the new ignition is on, I'll get a decent sound clip and post it on your thread. true to the nature of this thread, in that video the other car was much louder and obnoxious than mine, so my car got drowned out.
