I live in Novi MI. Today I stopped for gas and while in the station I noticed what I thought was a 2013 white SHO pull up on the other side of my car. It had the new SHO grille, parking lights, side and rear emblems. When I went out to finished up and leave I noticed the car had stock SEL style tires & wheels, I then peeked into the interior wondering if, being in Detroit, this might be a one off of some sort. To my dismay I discovered that, indeed I was looking at an SEL interior, console stack, no SHO emblem on seats etc. My question, has the SHO gained that much mojo that it can empress the girls? Any SHO owner worth his salt would realize this car was a fake. Those extra parts etc must have cost over $1000.00 - Why? He would have been better off buying a used BMW or Audi and playing the poser game where they de-badge the used base model - or stick M badges on it. Strange world!

Any chance this could have been some type of a mule from Ford. It seems like a lot of money to invest in cosmetics, unless Ford was using it to test something within the front shell. Just thinking out loud...

It's like that for all performance variants. I have seen a handful of wanna-Vs over the years...

I saw a Faux-V a few weeks ago. Was walking out of a restaurant and made a comment about what a nice car it was to my GF and then i got to the back end. It was a regular CTS with the V front clip on it.

If I could count how many F-150s I've seen with Lightning parts on them, I'd have a migraine. There are way too many clones out there on all different types of rides.

Oh, Hi . Welcome to the forum, I'm in Northern Dearborn Heights.

There are way too many clones out there on all different types of rides.

This ^^ Anytime there's a performance version, some one will try to clone it. I've seen a SHO spoiler on a 2010-2012 SEL as well. One SEL thing I've seen on 2010-2012 SHO's that look better and solve a common issue, are the tail lamps without the chrome trim, so it can go either way. Maybe someone out there has a SHO and put all SEL or Limited stuff on it to make it more of a sleeper? To each their own.
