I'd look into it being the IAC/IAB valve. Maybe try cleaning it.

The first step I would take is to clear your KAM (also known as "resetting the idle"):

http://www.shoforum.com/showthread.php?t=10161

If that doesn't work, then an IAC cleaning or replacement may be in order.

i reset the iddle according to the procedures and the iddle seems to work a little better, still get surging everytime the ac is on, not as bad as before but still, the other thing i noticed was that while in iddle the first few minutes is ok but after a short while the iddle goes up to around 2000 rpm and stays there for a few seconds and then it will go down and up for several times until finally goes down to 1100 which is my base iddle. then the whole cycle will repeat if iddle for longer periods of time (example) a long traffic light .

also if in traffic if i press the gas pedal to move say a few feet the iddle will surge.

and finally everytime i start the car the iddle will go up and stay up for like 20seconds until it finally calms down and goes to base iddle.

i replaced the iddle bypass valve and still the same. i went to buy a iddle air control valve and every place i went nothing came up other than the iddle bypass valve.
Do you or anybody know the part number for the IAC?

thanks

Jean.

What fuel pump do you have? I've heard that using a larger then stock pump pump, with a stock FPR will cause problems with idle and a bunch of other stuff.

Sounds like a possible vacuum leak. Have you:

- had any intake components off the car recently? If yes, have you checked for vacuum leaks?
- checked your front motor mount for damage and verified that everything is properly connected?
- checked your VSS to ensure that the sensor is properly connected and not melted or damaged?

The V6 MTX IAC valve has had many factory part numbers:

E9AE-9F715-AA
E9AE-9F715-A1A
E9AE-9F715-A2A
F0AE-9F715-A1A
F0AE-9F715-A2A
F0DE-9F715-AA

IIWM, I would use the most recent PN (F0DE-9F715-AA) when shopping for an OEM replacement.

thanks for the part numbers i will change the IAC anyways i always like new/fresh parts :dribble:

i did took the intake out to install new plugs and wires but i don't see/hear any leaks, i took a can or carb-cleaner and spray it around the engine but i didn't see anything happening.

i will check the motor mounts for any damage, and the VSS sensor.

what does VSS is? :bonk:

thanks

Jean.
