IAT sensor !!!!!!!!!

Hi there I am having a problem with the car stalling in the morning ! and the idle is at 500 when it is cold .. when it warms up the the idle is normal ! Could it be the IAT sensor and can it be cleaned with the electronics cleaner? ro does it have to be repalced!

Well.. from what it looks like to me is just a resistor type sensor, so there isnt really anything to 'clean' except for maybe the contacts. Being your in Canada, if it was below 30-50 I foret which the sensor will give a code. I'd run your codes and see what you find.

I got a code for the Egr DPR and i replaced it and still stumbles and bogs and stalls when i start it in the morning I figured maybe it was the IAT sensor and not sure if the egr is bad aswell !

when my crown vic was started on the coldest day of the year i got a code like that, hooked up my scanner and it said coolant temparature above or below expected values, air intake the same thing, it's pretty cool, you can monitor the sensors in realtime.

Neither the IAT or the ECT will cause your symptom, nor is there any benefit in attempting clean the IAT sensor.

Most likely, you have either a vaccum leak that is sealing when the system warms or you have a sludged-up IAC valve.

I would also clean you "nostrils" or passages that are in the intake, behind the throttle body. Use a piece of wire or coat hanger, and run it through both sides.

The last time i put car on computer it gave 332 326 and another egr code
