Eh throw me in for that noise too. I get a high pitched squeaking/rubbing when I turn the wheel, and when I turn it really sharp add in the horrid rubbing groaning sound, in addition to the constant high pitched whine my pump makes all the time when the car is on. It has to be a bad p/s pump. It's coming from that side and it sounds like the bearings are shot. Basically the classic Ford p/s pump noise. I'm leaking p/s fluid too. I noticed the reservoir went down, so I topped it off with fluid/stop leak for now.

It's gonna cost me a grand or more to get this thing in solid shape before I can paint it. Damn these cars.

Yeah I'm checking into mine this Saturday so I hope I can diagnose it before spring hits. My other project is to get another Intake and paint it but the painting part will have to be done this spring.
