I'm looking for a mechanic that is very familiar with the SHO. Located in the St. Louis and/or St. Charles area !! Would like to keep cars on the road and out of the salvage yard !!!

Contact projectSHO89 on this forum. He's done a majority of the wrenching on my car and wouldn't take it to anyone else. What's the particular repair or problem?

I am located a few hours away, and would be willing to offer any help I can. Like was said above, what is your particular problem?

I need a head gasket replaced and while in there may as well get all the other things such as valve covers and spark plug O rings. Is he affordable ? I know the work is intensive ,just want to know what I'm looking at on the labor expense.

Steve "projectSHO89" is very affordable and well-versed on the SHO. Headgasket failure is somewhat rare on these engines. Anything else happen that caused this failure? i.e. over-heated? Just curious as to what led to this diagnosis. What part of St. Louis are you located?

Frederick,

Thanks for the referral, however....

My new house project is still underway and I anticipate at least another 8 weeks minimum before I would be ready to do any side work of any kind. My own SHO is in need of work that I have had to defer. Want to come hang siding or tape drywall this weekend??

Thanks for the update Steve. Figured you were still busy with the house but didn't know if you'd be able to find time for any SHO work.

As for lending a hand, I "had to run" my Seadoo on the lake this past weekend. I know you had much more fun hanging siding and taping sheetrock. Perhaps next time you'll give me a more advance invite! ha.

My endorsement still stands, if anyone in the area needs any work see Steve in about 8-10 weeks. Or perhaps go hang his siding for him while he works on your SHO!
