Im looking for an exploded view of the atx tranny. I got a 93 auto. Also if anyone has a procedure breakdown can I get a copy.
My ex-mech friend is certified to rebuild trannys too. And I found a rebiuld kit for $298. :****: It includes all pan gaskets,clucth rings and stuff like that for full overhaul.
Add its $50 cheaper than if i had aamco fix the leak and change the oil(no internal work at all )

A couple of thoughts;

Stop by a local Ford dealership and see if they will lend you a service manual for the 1993 model year, if they have not thrown it away.

Try the local library. They usually have Chiltons, Mitchels. Motors, or other service manuals. They may even have the special manuals for transmissions.

Keep your parts together, in the right order, and label everything. Do NOT mix up the clutch packs, and be especially careful to use the right snap rings in the right places. Some snap rings are tapered, some are flat. The tapered snap rings go in a specific way, usually tapered side up. Do NOT take the valve body apart if you do not have to. If you have to, be sure that ALL of the check balls go back in the right places.

ax4s, axode, that is it, did you get the update? If Axinator sees this he can add hella to the conversation, also, pick up a transgo shift kit.

What update? ANd how can i tell the difference between the two? I've got lots of plans for upgrades including the mtx swap and 3.6 up grade. But on the top of my list right now is to stop the engine and tranny from bleeding fliud everywhere
