I've had an exhaust leak ever since I installed my y-pipe and I can't figure it out. :madflame: The end of the pipe that connects to the front exhaust manifold was slightly damaged, so I had it fixed. Still there was the sound and smell of exhaust. I replaced the donut gasket and connection with a flex pipe...no more sound, but still smells strongly.

I've taken it to three different exhaust places and nobody could find a leak. :squint: Ideas? Suggestions? Do I need to put exhaust tape (or some sort of sealant) where the y-pipe connects to the manifolds? Thanks for the help! :salute:

Sounds like its still leaking from the front ******, where it was repaired. I would try to re-seat the y-pipe, sometimes this will take care of it. I know its worked for me a few times. Try to avoild breaking studs. Its not fun.

Try using a deep socket with out any extensions over the top of the sub frame to get that one.

Well, I loosened the y-pipe, moved it around a bit and then retightened it, but the smell is still there. I can smell it right where the front quarter panel and the front driver side door meet. Could it be a pinhole in the y-pipe? If so, what's the best way to find it? :salute:
