Hey guys, my friend's SHO has been on the road for a few weeks now following an ATX rebuild, but all of a sudden it won't start. It's a 94. It ran yesterday, all the electronics would turn on last night, fuel pump, etc. It just doesn't try to turn over. I went over to look at it today, and I was able to start it at least 10 times over the course of an hour or so!

The ignition cylinder has been sloppy and felt on the verge of breaking for a long time so I decided to get a new one and replace it. Got back from autozone, put the new one in...and now it won't start again. I figure the next step is to replace the ignition switch. By the time I got the old one out, Autozone was closed.

Is there any way I can test the old one with my multimeter and not waste a trip/money if it's still ok? Does anyone have the pinouts/schematics for how it should operate? If its still good or replacing it doesn't work, I suppose the tranny interlock should be my next target, right? From what I can tell, there's no seperate relay for a Gen 2 ATX... Thanks!

you need to find the lead from the ignition to the solenoid and place a test light or etc on the circuit and turn the key.
