Just as the title says. Does anyone know how to take apart the center console?

In my MKS the wooden trim around the shifter creaks and pops when driving. Also I notice some noise coming from the panel above it where all the climate controls are. So I was thinking of taking both of those out and putting some felt and tape at the contact points. But I really can't figure out how it's put together and I don't want to brake anything. So looking for suggestions / instructions.

You could try going to fordparts.com, finding the dash components, and see if any of the images show you the attachment points.

All I can see is the exploded view diagram. I even tried to search for actual pictures of the parts, but no luck.

That should give you an idea of how the puzzle fits together. There are most likely trim panels that press in that would cover any panels that has screws, you sometimes have to take multiple pieces off even if it's not what you are ultimately trying to get at in order to get there.

Also felt tape can work great in panel you may also look at closed cell foam. The object being to decouple the offending pieces so they don't vibrate against each other.

The problem is from looking at the diagram I still don't understand how to pull these parts. I was hoping there's someone on this forum who had done this and knows the correct procedure. Or has some sort of a manual.
