HOW MUCH FOR A NEW LEATHER DRIVER'S SEAT?

got a question for y'all.

my driver's seat on my 92 SHO is getting a bit ratty. the bolster has the usual wear, the seat bottom has some small holes in it (lame ass repair job by me), the foam is getting old, not the support it used to have and the air bladder for the lumbar is leaking.

so:

1. how much for new leather seat covers? i heard they were only like $180 or something. i only need the seat base and the bolster.

2. how much to fix the air bladder. the pump still works fine.

There was a group buy project for the leather seat covers but it was like $600 + at the group buy rate..plus the install looking a bit painful. I can't remember the website, but a search here might help you locate it.

Or you could go this route, which I'll do just to protect my already great looking seats.

There is a member here who has them and they look really nice. The best part is you can customize the colors and the logo. They even come with the headrest to match. Not bad for like $250 + for both seats.

It's just that the leather they used for the sho seems so cheap it's stupid... The leather seats in an SHO seem to crack and get real dirty and rip VERY easily compared to many other leather seats. I would think that there is a company who would just make the covers with a higher quality leather.

Try http://www.leatherseats.com/ - I don't know if you can buy just one seat leather or not. But fairly reasonable if you replace all of it.

Go to Katzkins, they make great stuff including different colours pattern, stitches, and logos. They are quite pricy though (around $900 I believe).
