How many miles?

anyone have a estimate on how many miles you might have left , when you fuel light glows?

Depends on how you use that remaining fuel. Drive nice and you can squeeze at least 100 more miles out of it.

Interesting observation.... Seems I can't get more than 14Gal in my tank from the "E" mark. How big are these tanks. (Sorry don't mean to HJ)

I'm with Ken, I can go 2-3 days to and from work (26 round trip) before I start getting uncomfortable.

Your mileage may vary...

The SHOs were supposed to be fitted with the larger 18.6 usable gallon tank that was an option on the Taurus and Sable. You can determine how many gallons remain when the LOW FUEL light illuminates by filling the tank soon after it stays on steadily. Subtract that fill quantity from 18.6 and you have the remaining usable gallons in the tank. As far as to how far you can go (pun intended) on that amount of fuel depends entirely on the weight of your right foot.

I agree, that is when it comes no in my SHO. That being said, I have gone another 100 miles, with the light on (on the highway). I filled up 17.4 gallons.

iv done the same just I filled up 17.5

ive never filled up more than 15, but the most ive gone with the light on is maybe 40-45 miles.
