how many litres in a v8 tranny

ya i know stupid question... but i wanna be sure.. how many litres (im in canada) does a v8 sho tranny take?

12.7 L if you have not added an additional aux cooler yet.

Don't forget the extra 5l or so in the torque converter... but if you're just doing a flush you won't ever see it. Just letting you know so you don't freak out when you read 17l somewhere else...

I have to change my inspection pan on the tranny and the fluid is burnt and was foaming up... so i will have to change the filter and tranny fluid for sure, all because i have 4 little rusted holes on the bottom of my inspection pan, and the mount right next to it is shot so everytime i was accelerating it was rubbing the pan on frame mount and opened the holes up more, unfortunatly i was on the hwy when all the fluid started dumping and getting blown back on the exhaust and it looked like the car was on fire, o.d. light was also flashing but drove just fine, so now im getting her flatbedded home from another city (1 1/2 hrs away from home) then i'll use the info i got from a few members here to take her apart and replace the pan and mount!
