We have a 12 ton press in our small engine shop, think it'd be able to get a wheel bearing in? i think i read in a search 25 ton is needed (they said 50k pounds of pressure).

Nah, I've done it with a little 5 ton ram once... it was awful tight, but she came out... use a little heat on the hub, and freeze the bearing and she'll fall right in. :)

More then enough to get it in , **** even a 6 inch bench vise does the job.

The problem is to get it out. I already had issues with a harbor freight 25 tons, sometimes they are really stuck in there.

Thanks for the tips!

I think im gonna wait on it until i get a bearing for the other side, its not bad yet it was more preventive. Also the starter burnt up and stranded me. Found a 3.2 starter i had in the garage and was just gonna use that until it burnt up being as they're pretty darn easy to swap out. Bench tested it and that one was junk, Put a new starter in drove 30 miles and the rear driver caliper started sticking smoke and such. This thing is by far the biggest money pit i've ever owned, but i still love the *************.

No, I called it quits right at 6pm... I dont wanna be working with tools and a press after its dark out even with lights.

Last thing I want is an accident due to not being able to see something.

Weird, I use an air hammer, and a regular hammer and a few sockets.

and a mangled 3/4" bolt, some big washers, fine thread 3/4" threaded rod, an idler pulley with a special notch cut in it, a pipe reducer that fits the inner race. if you use 1" fine thread rod 'ya don't even break a sweat. it's possible to do on the car, but a helluva lot easier with the knuckle clamped in a vise.
