I had eibach springs installed with kyb struts about 2 years ago. I always hated the combo because I've looked and searched several different things and got the response that the kybs weren't strong enough to hold up to the eibach springs. Lately I've been searching and most people are trying monroes with the eibachs as a replacement. It seems like the monroes are a very nice combo for the eibachs.

The car rides so harsh I can feel every single bump in the road. Ever since the car started having these suspension problems it has got harder to brake and stop the car and also the car feels like it has barely any acceleration. It's very hard to get going from a stop and the car has always been fast and maintained properly. Would the suspension being all messed up affect these things? What would I need to get in order to fix this problem. I'm mainly trying to figure out if I buy these monroes will they hold up and fix my suspension like I need them to or should I hold out for the konis and deal with this terrible suspension problem for a couple more months?

Any help would be highly appreciated, I need to get this problem fixed a.s.a.p.

Is there a problem with Tokico Blues? I was planning on running them with Eibach's on my '92 before I sold it. I've run Koni/Eibach with my '95 and it handled nice, but I prefer the Intrax/Koni that I have now.

Honestly, I would go Tokico or Koni. I don't have any expericnes with the Monroe struts.

Monroes on eibachs are a very popular combination.

Better yet, try the UBER-CHEAP gabriels. You can put them in for couch change. Then, take your KYB's and use them for housing the koni cartridges.

This way, you will have fresh struts while you get the konis ready to go.

I have used the monroes before on my stock springs and it handled very well. I would take the stock suspension over the suspension I'm running now any day. Eibach/kyb truly is a terrible combo I know people have had some good luck with them but I haven't. I never have had experience with the tokicos at all but as far as I know they're not available to purchase anymore. So konis or monroes are the only way to go.

I want to hear some people's opinions as that will affect my decision. People with eibach/koni and eibach/monroe speak out.

I have Eibach/SensaTrac, but no plates until tonight or Monday. I'll let you know what I think when I'm on the road again next week.

i also have eibach/sensatrac, had them on the car for 2 days now and i cant stop cornering. the ride is stiff but not harsh. it is solid enough that on the rough roads around here (alot of construction) it makes my cd player skip every once in a while. but the cornering abilities the car has now overshadows any harshness. on the freeway they are completely smooth and make for a very comfortable ride. let me know if you have any questions. as i just did this install.

I have had the menroes and eibachs in my car since it had 177k. It now has 208k, and i have loved every mile of it. Like newby92 said, the car handles great in the corners, and on the hwy, its pretty forgiving.

I did cut the top dead coil off of my front springs, just cause the car seemed to ride high. I have had it like that for about 10k with no ill effects. I have been told that because of cutting one coil out with the menroes that the struts may fail pre-maturely, but they are lifetime guarantied, and dont take much to change out.
