this is on the 92

just did the 96 upgrade about a month ago due to bad wheel bearing on the passenger side, all was fine for about a week then it started

for the first week or so there was a slight wobble (whole car shakes and the steering wheel shakes) from 45-50 only while slowing (not just while hittin the brake eahter).........now its to the point were from 40-60ish theres a hellashis wobble (whole car shakes extreamly violentlly and the steering wheel is shakin very harshlly to), but its still only while slowing down and sometimes while crusing between 40-60

shake goes away if i turn to the left, kinda far rite, or accelerate......occasionally it feels like the steerin wheel is pullin itself to the rite side for a split second (not very hard tho)......steerin feels riteotehr than that, still takes curves under heavey acceleration and high speeds without a problem

changed the passenger front wheel out today to c if mayb it was a broken belt or somthin and its still doin it.......

checked for bad wheel bearin and its good.....wheel dont seem to move wiggle out of the normal when jacked up.......AND YES THE LUGS R ALL TIGHT!!!!!!

any ideas??????

I agree with Storm-Chaser

I had the same problem in respect. I had a shutter from left to right on acceleration and i replaced both half shafts with brand new ones and problem went away.

I have this exact same problem right now on my 90 and it has the 96 brake upgrade. Both wheels have a wiggle at 3 and 9 though, so mine may be a different issue. I thought CV joints just made a popping noise in turns; I didn't know they could "rattle" loose.

Not being a dick but are you sure you don't have a bad wheel bearing? Since it is a 92 you had to change the spindles. Maybe one of the flanges were the rotor sits is bent, dirt or rust between rotor and ******.

Ultimatesho---let me know when you find out what is wrong since I have the same problem with mine. I'm already so disgusted with mine I want to push it off a cliff into a burning abyss. I am debating on whether to spend the $ to fix the wobble on mine if I'm going to sell it--but it's kinda a safety issue too.

Just to answer this question, most axles do the clicking when its the outer cv joint of the axle that goes bad since it is the one doing the bending for turns, and when it just shakes and no clicks its prob the inner cv joint on the axle, also to check the axles get under it and check to see if it has any play when you move it front to back of the car

LoL ultimate... don't feel bad.. I did the same thing awhile ago. Replaced both bearings, got a shake.. thought it was the axles.. so I replaced em.. only to find out when replacing them.. that the bearing was shot in less than 100 miles. Oh well... I rebuilt the rest of the damn car already.. why not new axles too.. lol

The list of "not new parts" is getting shorter and shorter... but... almost everything has a lifetime warranty now. :) And it drives great! :)

The wheel bearing [once it gets bad enough] to allow "side-to-side" play, will allow the play when checking at any clock-position: 3- and 9-o'clock; 6- and 12-o'clock; etc. A bad tie rod will allow play at 3- and 9-o'clock only; a bad ball joint at 6- and 12-o'clock only.

:burnout:
