My old FIAMM horns are corroded and dysfunctional. To express my anger, I would slam my hands down on the steering wheel to use my horn at other motorists only to have a quiet "meep" sound emitted. I was laughed at by onlookers and feel completely embarrassed :(

Can anyone recommend a GOOD high / low tone horn combo? I was looking at the FIAMM freeway blasters but, many of the reviews claim they are not very loud.

I rarely use my horn, but when I do I have damn good reason too (usually another motorist doing something stupid / dangerous)

I would get an air compressor and a truck horn if it were feasible, but it's not, so whats the next best thing?

You should use the horns from the regular Taurus GL, they are louder and deeper sounding than the SHO horns. I cant stand the sound of the SHO horns, too high pitched.. Sounds like a scooter.

I put a freeway blaster on my DD cavalier. It worked good for a couple of months the broke. I don't recommend it - cheap chinese garbage. x2 on above post - hit up the parts yard and get one of a regular Taurus. Or - hit up the big truck junk yard - and mount 2 air horns to the roof,

lol..could always go with one of those muti sounding horns. thought about getting one once. will do just about any sound. ive seen some that you can make your own sounds..if you like that kind of thing. personaly id go with a pair of air horns. you may not use them that much but when you do you want to be heard.

Agreed, my 99 slo has a better horn than my SHO. I've been meaning to change the SHO horn out with a junkyard unit.

I ordered a Nautilus for my wife's 95, which she refuses to put in the car because it sounds "stupid". not a problem, I'll put it in my mustang when I get it!

It is pretty high pitched, but it is LOUD AS ****.

I want a loud-ass horn on my car, but not so I can use it all the time. The only time I use my horn is when somebody's about to hit me (or if somebody doesn't go on a green light, but I'm pretty patient there). I want the offending driver to know unequivocally that he's f***ing up when I blow my horn. And maybe everybody within 500ft too, so they can laugh at her (or him).

Im talkin about the train horn. The air horn Nautilus is fine, but the train horn is way excessive, its 4 or 5 air horns and the low pitch is so loud it travels for miles.. Thats overkill man!

Did you end up getting the Stebel? How did you go about wiring it up?

IIRC the horns ground directly to the frame, which is why each horn only has one wire. You would need to simply run a second wire from the new horn to a ground point. The shorter the wire, the better.

Wait, so I won't need my relay wiring harness for the SHO?
My bike's wiring needed the relay hooked up so I didn't fry anything.

Would I be able to hook up 2 to both the 2 wires?
